Oman is a sultan judge in the southeastern part of the Arabian Peninsula. Oman borders the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Yemen. Oman is part of the Middle East.

Sultan of State and Government. The post of Sultan is passed. Sultan selects self government, which sits in a council. In the early 1990s created the sultan an elected council, the Majlis ash-Shura, but few oman had to vote. Universal suffrage for persons over 21 years was introduced on 4 October 2003. Over 190,000 people (74% of voters) voted to select 84 seats. Two women were elected.

Although the Sultan has virtually the political power of attorney, he is supported by the majority of Oman’s residents. In his 30-year-long operation has Oman gradually approaching democracy.

Oman currently has large immigration of workers from many countries. It has launched a process called “omanisering” where the goal is to get more work in oman. The authorities have in recent years “blocked” various sectors of social life in order to protect local workers against competition from cheap labor.
