Nepal named on 15th January 2008 officially Kingdom of Nepal was a monarchy in the Himalayas. The country located between India in the east, west and south, and China (Tibet) to the north. The capital Kathmandu is located together with Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kirtipur and Thimi in Katmandudalen. The political situation in Nepal has happened for several years been marked by a violent conflict between King Gyanendra and his government on the one hand and the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) (Maoists) on the other hand, while the traditional democratic political parties had little difficulty by finding a clear place in the conflict.
