About Montserrat
Montserrat is a lush, mountainous island in the Caribbean Sea. The island is 102 km ² and 4,488 inhabitants. It is part of the Leeward Islands and part of the barrier islands called the Lesser Antilles. Montserrat was named by Christopher Columbus on his second voyage to the New World in 1493, after Monserratbjerget located in Catalonia.
