French Guiana
French Guyana (or Guiana, Guyana Guyane Française or French) is an overseas French territory (département d’outre a région-mer, DOM-ROM). Guyana is located on the Caribbean coast of South America. The capital of French Guyana called Cayenne.
In French Guyana will find among other ESA’s launch center and Devil’s Island. French Guyana is included, along with Suriname (formerly Dutch Guyana), State of Guyana (formerly British Guyana) and parts of Venezuela and Brazil in the Guyana region. French Guyana is the last of the former mainland colonies, a European country.
