Brazil
The Federative Republic of Brazil (República Federativa do Brasil in Portuguese) is the largest and most populous country in South America, in terms of area almost the size of the U.S.. The country covers a large area between the Andes and the Atlantic Ocean and shares borders with Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana. Brazil, which is named after the local brasiltræ, rich in natural resources. There are large agricultural areas and vast rain forests.
The capital is Brasilia and the largest cities are São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Other large cities are Anapolis, Belem, Belo Horizonte, Campinas, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Goiania, Manaus, Porto Alegre, Recife, Salvador, Vila Velha and Vitória.
